Alerting Delay/Notification Settings

I am curious how people handle alerting for port utilization, when say the threshold if to alert at 95% of greater, and the hits the threshold and alerts, but then dips down below, clears, but then spikes back up to alert again.

Is there a way to go about making alerts that bounce above/below a threshold a little easier to deal with?

Increase the Delay time. I put mine on 5 m and then tweaked it to 10 m. For the spikes.

You can also add into the alert rule macros.past_10m
