Alerts are generated on components with alerts set to Off

Hi,

The discovery process enables some components that are actually not in the system, but that’s an unfortunate side effect of how the MIBs are processed by the Juniper device. However, to mitigate this I edit the device and disable the alert for the components that are seen as “unknown”, as shown here:

However, once I activate the alert rule, the alert is actually triggered for these components:

Do I need to specify something more in the alert rule so that it doesn’t trigger devices that have the alert set to “off”?

That macro is missing %sensors.sensor_alert equals “1” add that and see.

Excellent, that worked! I figured it would be something like that but couldn’t figure out the value.
