I’m getting an unsusual behaviour on my Install, currently testing with two devices, using office 365 smtp .
On the alerts event log I get these two outputs.
Issued critical alert for rule ‘Port status up/down’ to transport ‘mail’ (switch)
Could not issue warning alert for rule ‘Devices up/down’ to transport ‘mail’ Error: **SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting (firewall)
Its worth mentioning that some devices never work and some devices work intermitently , also on the alerts rules section , the alerts sometimes show a red exclamation mark .
I’ve been trying to troubleshoot or at least find a pattern but decided to ask the community , maybe someone has a solution for this already .
Is it possible that this is related to something on Office 365 side ? but why then some devices never work while others work without issues. ?
*edit : wireshark shows no traffic when alert cant be be issued. So I believe there is something wrong with the mail configuration. ( I can see traffic if it works ) .
