Hi, all. I have a small internet distribution system, and I would like to monitor the usage to watch for peak usage times. The main reason is to see if I’m reaching the maximum throughput (100 mbps/100 mbps) with my subscribers. If cumulative usage regularly hits my subscription limit, I’ll know it’s time to upgrade to the next level of bandwidth.
Anyway, the Ubiquiti UNMS system does this type of logging, but it seems to give an average instead of true peaks (I know have have maxed the system in the past, but it’s not reflected in the UNMS). I’m simply looking for a better way to monitor the systems throughput. I don’t need to log every user’s information–just the data that flows through my Ubiquiti EdgeMAX router one the fiber line that provides our service. Thanks!
