Could not issue critical alert for rule 'Devices up/down' to transport 'mail' Error: SMTP Error: data not accepted

Hi Team,

I have configured SMTP address on Email transport. Also, mentioned the default contact address. But still i am not getting any mails.

Error message on event log: Could not issue critical alert for rule ‘Devices up/down’ to transport ‘mail’ Error: SMTP Error: data not accepted.

Firewall status: stop
Selinux status: disabled

Have you looked at some of the other posts on here of the same thing (and github issues?)

I am checking the other posts too. Not aware whether this a github issue or not.

I am using gmail SMTP configuration for email transport. The same configuration works for me for other applications.

It’s not necessarily an issue but github has other people who have reported similar. All of those posts have some basic info collection / testing you can do. If you still have issues, reply here with the info you have collected.
