Hello !
I have disabled modules (globally and on specific devices) but I don’t understand how I can “refresh” the “page” of my existing devices.
For example, I’ve disabled the Vlan module but it stills shows up on my old devices (the one I added after disabling the module don’t have it).
Thank you so much for your help !
Have a great day.
That’s coz the older modules are still present in the DB.
For the Vlan example, you might wanna remove the entries from the Vlan table in the DB. Unless you don’t truncate the entries, you will keep seeing it in the device page.
Thank you for your reply,
That’s what I thought. So the only way is to remove it directly in the DB, I was hoping I could refresh it on the website.
I also have another question : is there any way to disable the graph tracing to save storage space ?
It would be nice if I could have the Ports module ON but without all the graphs that must use a lot of storage space.
Thanks again !
I am not sure, if I got your query right. But, the graphs are pulled from the RRDs directly, so, if you have the Ports modules ON, RRDs will be created/updated and graphs will be available in their respective pages.
Hello !
I’m sorry for my late reply but I wanted to try stuff before answering and I don’t have access to librenms during the Week End.
I have tried to disable the Ports module and indeed the graphs aren’t generated anymore but I’m losing a lot of useful information.
I’m mainly monitoring switches, do you have any suggestion on how to reduce the space storage used without losing too much useful data ?
Thanks a lot for your help !
Have a wonderful day !
Can you please share a list of what all it is capturing and which sub-modules you can ignore ?
Hello,
We have decided with my colleagues that we are going to disable the Ports module by default and only enable it on the main switches / routers. It allows us to save the space storage we needed.
I thank you for your help one last time
Have a great day !
