Email Alerts through Microsoft 365

I am trying to use Microsoft 365 to send LibreNMS email alerts to an address on the same 365 server.

I actively have this running for several customers already, but this latest setup is not working with 365 due to Microsoft blocking Basic Auth.

Can anyone advise how to get round this issue as I can see it becoming a problem for a lot of people once Microsoft disable basic auth on all 365 accounts?

Are you using SMTP to send mail and using M365 credentials to do so?

Hi, Yes - this has worked for years but suddenly no more! I have actually ended up using Google SMTP relay instead, as I don’t think it will be possible with 365 any more.

Is that not still possible on a per user mailbox?
