Is it normal to see multiple device down despite they are working fine? What cause these false status? Anyway to resolve these?
Check the event log to see why they are marked down SNMP or Icmp. Also you may want to run through the performance doc.

Should I disable ICMP check?
I think instead of disabling icmp check, you should try first to find why your devices doesnt reply to icmp.
