Grouping both ends of Core P2P links into single Graph etc

Hi,

We have many point-to-point links in our WAN as everyone should :wink:

Each end of the same p2p link is labeled to be identical;
interface Te1/1/1
description CORE:DeviceA=DeviceB

This results in two graphs in Librenms. One for DeviceA (labelled ā€œCORE:DeviceA=DeviceBā€) and one for DeviceB (labelled ā€œCORE:DeviceA=DeviceBā€).

However as they are connected back-to-back to each other they are showing the exact same information (just ā€œinā€ and ā€œoutā€ reversed obviously).

Is it possible to merge these two ports/graphs into a single Core link? I thought that is what Core was for?

This would significantly save on screen real estate (halving the Core page at the very least) and make tracing paths through the network much more logical.

Similar to how the Customer graphs aggregate multiple ports with the same description together. But I guess throwing away one side of the link maybe?

Details for each end could still be seen on the specific deviceā€™s page to view locally significant things like errors etc

The ā€˜coreā€™ port will graph these two together but it will also graph other core ports so if you have more than two as I expect, your example doesnā€™t work.

You can manually setup graphs on the dashboard to combine two ports together (search this forum for how) but itā€™s all a manual process.
