Help creating port utlisation rule

Hello, im quite new to libre and certainly to more advanced options and I would like to do the following:
Create alert rule for specific port % utilisation on certain device, I tried reading quite a lot about it and while alerts for whole device works i cant set it right to get alerts from only specfic port on devices, I created a rule that looks like in the picture below

As you can see I choose port name(its the one i see in overview page) and in “map to” i choose device address of which port i want to get alerts from. This port is of course up and its % ulisation is certainly higher than 5% i used but I wanted to try if I get any alerts but they wont come to e-mail. I would really be happy If i could get some help about it.

Any help please ?:frowning:

Is the Librenms server able to email at all? Can you send test emails.

If you feel comfortable doing so might be worth looking in the database to see what is happening with that device. The alert rules are mysql queries.

Yes I normally get emails from librenms and some other rule worked and emails came, maybe not exactly like I wanted but it worked unfortunately this rule doesnt…

I have figured out how to make it work but I have one more problem, right now alerts work good with port usage perc but I have a device that is fiber and in librenms it doesnt have link speed like 100mbit or 1gbit. So to monitor usage I would need a rule that gives alert not when port exceeeds certain % of max speed but after it exceeds certain speed like 200 or 300mbit, can you please help me what rule should i use ?

I use ifInOctets_rate & ifOutOctets_rate in a couple of specific locations for data rate alerting e.g.:

ports.port_id = 2308 AND ports.ifInOctets_rate < 1310720
