How to upgrade OS without effect to LibreNMS service

Hi All,

I’ve install the LibreNMS on CentOS Linux release 7.5.1804 (Core)
And I woul like to upgrade the OS to latest version , Do we have the way to do that make sure will not have effect with LibreNMS software? Please kindly advise.

Below is my current LinreNMS environment.

Version 1.63-56-gf3ad810 - Mon May 11 2020 11:05:33 GMT+0700
Database Schema 2020_04_13_150500_add_last_error_fields_to_bgp_peers (164)
Web Server Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) OpenSSL/1.0.2k-fips PHP/7.2.24
PHP 7.2.24
Python
MySQL 5.5.60-MariaDB
RRDtool 1.4.8

if all dependencies are installed and needed Services are running nothing stays against.
There exists an official Installation document for running LibreNMs on CentOS8
Maybe this helps to avoid upgrade problems.

How did you plan to upgrade the OS? The only way to properly upgrade CentOS from 7 to 8 is a complete reinstall, as it is not a rolling upgrade OS. So with that in mind I would a) follow the installation instructions for LibreNMS on CentOS 8 as per link from @SourceDoctor and b) then follow the FAQ: migrating to a new server. Those two steps should indeed get your LibreNMS on a new installation.
