MariadDB tuning / setup

I am in process of setting up a 5 poller LibreNMS system that will monitor ~1200 devices and 40,000 ports. I am hoping to get some info on what tuning I should do to MariaDB in order for it to run at its best. Are there any other parameters besides MariaDb that need tuning…??
