Using ping only devices, the Lat / Lng are not calculated from the Location (it works for snmp devices).
Why are Ping only devices not getting their Lat / Lng filled in?

“Location” confused me for a while too.
Basically I think Location is a human-readable name like “UK Datacenter”, then you go into the Locations section of LibreNMS, which gets automatically populated from either sysLocation (SNMP) or your overrided description, and there you select the Lat / Long from the openstreetmap map.
For me, if I put the location as Lat / Long coordinates, the Lat / Lng values would be filled in automatically, but would be similar but different. Not really sure how that works, but as you’ve got to type in the Location manually with ping-only devices, you might as well take the easy route and just use the map to select the right co-ordinates.
