Problem - stuck at installing/configuring SELinux using RedHat 7.6 fresh install

I am following the installation instructions for RedHat 7 found here:

Everything was fine until I got to SELinux … the last statement returns an error:

[root@svl-librenms1 opt]# setsebool -P httpd_can_sendmail=1
setsebool: SELinux is disabled.

Can anyone help?

You have selinux disabled so doesnt really need to do all the selinux parts.

That makes perfect sense.

I assumed that SELinux was required.
