Problem using librenms-agent Proxmox 5

perhaps SElinuix ?

No, selinux it not a problem… a doing telnet to remote pc and recieve data with out problem

i see its not passing the info over?

The information passing, but the problem in the libremns web still there Proxmox(can’t open ‘/etc/pve/priv/authkey.key’ - Permission denied)

Look at that, this it the server specific configuration, before that, unix-agent are disabled

then, the latest error disappeared and the graph see lake this

any idea about that ? and a looking for the goblal configuration por unix-agent, and don’t found…

Global config for poller modules is documented here: https://docs.librenms.org/#Support/Configuration/#global-module-support

I’m getting the key error too, except there’s a few things to note:

  1. https://docs.librenms.org/#Extensions/Applications/#proxmox
  2. In the above docs, proxmox doesn’t have sudoers out of the box (5.x is my current target), so, not sure if that’s an issue.
  3. This part talks about extending SNMPD, not installing an agent (I think?)
  4. https://docs.librenms.org/#Extensions/Proxmox/
  5. The above docs link to the earlier docs. But later parts of #4 talk about parts that aren’t available on the proxmox node, so I’m not sure if I’m missing out here.

Right now, I’m getting additional stats for storage from proxmox than I was before, but I don’t seem to be getting per-VM stats like I think is intended here.

Any chance we can get someone to do another pass on how this is “supposed” to work and update the documentation to be current, please? I’m at a loss as to what to do here…

Hmm, as a heads-up, installing sudo, and adding the line “snmp ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin/proxmox” to sudoers may have been the trick. Plus had to make sure snmpd used the longer parameter “extend proxmox /usr/bin/sudo /usr/local/bin/proxmox” due to it not running as root.

Waiting on additional data collection, but it is no longer complaining about key permission.

Hmmm…
