Hi,
Is there a way to scan a network that is unreachable by the Librenms Server. Like if I have a standalone server at that location able to send data back to the main Librenms server?
The ISP blocks snmp scans so I an unable to graph a network at a remote site.
Also I have a computer that constantly vpn to another site but would like to monitor as well.
If you can’t use snmp directly to the end devices you can either change the snmp ports to one that is allowed or setup a distributed poller.
Monitoring over a VPN is fine and people already do this but again you need snmp open.
May I remind about the article I wrote for the LibreNMS blog last December?

I started talking too much about nagios here, but in nagios there’s something called a passive scan, in which, server awaits for the clients (if configured) to send data rather than polling them periodically.
However I don’t know if this can be achieved with the agent.
Thank You Ill give it a try
