Switched to AD auth, email alerts stopped working

I switched over to AD auth a few days ago, and since then email alerts have stopped working, they give an error “Could not issue critical alert for rule ‘Sensor over limit’ to transport ‘mail’ Error: You must provide at least one recipient email address.” If I turn on “Send alerts to default contact only” then I start getting emails again. So is the AD auth plugin not providing email addresses? I do have a bind user defined.

Ok, I found scripts/auth_test.php and it says my bind user isn’t authenticating. Oh, because it’s appending the AD domain to the provided username, and I tried a UPN and full DN. Once I just put in the samaccountname, now it’s working.
