25.10.0 Release Announcement

LibreNMS version 25.10.0 was released on October 15th, 2025.

We want to thank every one of the 27 contributors to LibreNMS this month. This release brings some security fixes, exciting new features, and improvements across the board. A huge shout out to everyone who has been submitting pull requests - we’ve been working hard to review and merge them all.

A big thank you to @murrant, @electrocret and alagoutte for their outstanding contributions this month. Special recognition goes to murrant for the security fixes and UI improvements, and to electrocret for the device type categorization work. It’s amazing to see the community helping push LibreNMS forward.

Flagging breaking changes:

This release includes several breaking changes related to device type categorization:

  • Opengear devices are now classified as management type

  • Avocent devices are classified as now management type

  • Dell DRAC are now classified as management type

  • Cisco CIMC are now classified as management type

  • FortiADC are now classified as loadbalancer type

  • PagerDuty title/summary are now classified as configurable

Security fixes:

  • Fixed XSS vulnerabilities in the alert rules page (rule name and transport name)

Notable changes in this release:

  • New API endpoint to add to device eventlog (#18203)

  • New Port Security polling module with API and WebUI integration (#18296)

  • 24 devices with new or updated support, including Nokia SR Linux, ArubaCX enhancements, Raritan PDU sensors, and many others

  • Improved outages rework and custom map menu scaling

  • Better handling of Cisco VLAN discovery

  • Multiple WebUI fixes including dark mode improvements and device tab issues

  • Many other bug fixes and code cleanup
