Spanning-tree path cost has evolved with “new” bandwidth available, so devices can be configured with “short” (old) values, or “long” (new) one.
In order not to have topology issue, it’s important that every device use the same mode.
Id’ like to monitor this in LibreNMS, so if a new device is added with short path mode I would get an alert.
Would it be possible to add this field in the stp tab?
Then we could add support device by device later.
