Alert Configuration

I have been trying to setup alerts and would like some help on:

Notifications -

When I setup the default alerts advocated, I get all notifications. When I set up alerts myself, I am not able to get any notifications. I see alerts under "Alert History’ but nothing in notifications, please advise how I can set this up.

Also when I set up alerts on my of versus the defaults, the same email transport ability will not send me any emails as well. Please advise and advice.

Use that to debug the alerts, it will show you if the rule matches.

Thanks. When I run this, I get the screenshot attached. I am not sure why it says “no match”
I mapped the device by ip. Any thoughts on why it’s not matching?

Possibly because there is no device that is down that has that IP?

I have rebooted the device numerous times

and it gives me a down reading. But nothing triggered in the alerts.

try with the sysname

now it works. still used the ip. thanks for all help!
