Alert Procedure Error

Hello,

This is a question about alerting. I go to Alerts -> Notifications.

Once there I see some alerts (created by the stock alerts templates “out-of-the-box” by LibreNMS). For example, say a port is down. There are several columns like Status/Rule/Hostname/Severity/Acknowledge/etc. The last column says “Procedure”. It has “Open” buttons for each row of alerts underneath it. So when I try to open an alert I receive a red error box at the top right hand of the screen that says…

“An error occurred opening procedure for this alert. Was the procedure link configured?” It does it for every alert. Again this is the stock alert templates from LibreNMS. It was not doing this before. Anythoughts about that error?

Below is my validate.php…

If you’ve not configured a procedure link then this is to be expected.

Where do I go to check that?

I’m pretty new to this so what is a procedure and how would I use it? LibreNMS documentation looks pretty sparse on the topic based on what I have searched.

Alert Rule Procedure URL: Can be edit by going to alert rules> edit rule.
you can add an http link to something… link documentation… its totally up to you what you want to do with it.
