Alerts dashboard widget no longer sorts by severity first

Hi,

I’ve noticed a change in the sorting behavior of the Alerts dashboard widget after a recent LibreNMS update.

Previously, alerts in the widget were sorted by severity first and then by timestamp, for example:

  • Critical – newest to oldest
  • Warning – newest to oldest

At some point, around the update that introduced the Warning / Critical quick-filter buttons in the Alerts widget, this behavior changed. Alerts now appear to be sorted primarily by timestamp, so Critical and Warning alerts are mixed together.

We are currently running:

LibreNMS 26.8.2

I tried editing the widget settings and selecting:

Sort alerts by → severity, descending, but alerts are not displayed with all Critical alerts first followed by Warning alerts, as they used to be.

The desired/previous behavior is:

Critical  15:00
Critical  14:30
Critical  13:00
Warning   15:10
Warning   14:45
Warning   12:00

rather than simply sorting all alerts by timestamp regardless of severity.
