Alerts for storage and other specific sensors on ignored devices

Hi Community

We are monitoring many Windows 10 clients with LibreNMS. As they are on the move, turned on/off, we have set the devices to be ignored to no trigger a constant stream of alerts. Still we would like to get alerts for some specific sensors such as Storage.

Is there way to get alerts of specific sensors for ignored devices?
Or is there better way to not alert for up/down for these devices without having to ignore the devices?

Any recommendations are welcome!

You cant alert if device is ignored.

The best approach, in my opinion, is to create a device group with all those win10 (for example, device.os LIKE Win10) and then change desired rules to not include this group.

@TheGreatDoc Thanks! I didn’t think of that possibility. It was easier to accomplish than I thought.

My solution actually is to exclude the devices.type = workstation in the up/down alert rule. Then I created a group “up-down-monitored” which includes all devices but the workstations. I use the group in the availability map to exclude workstations and keep it green.

I didn’t find a way yet to exclude the workstation to be shown on the world map. The widget doesn’t allow to select a group to be shown. Any ideas on this?
