Anyone using a Pi3 - how much load can it handle?

Looking to see how much a Pi3 can handle as far as number of ports/devices (ballpark)…I have one spun up - just looking to see how far it can go before it falls over.
20 x 24 port switches?
8 ESXi hosts w/ 10 VMs each?..

Anyone out there w/ some history running LibreNMS that could give me some pointers on sizing would be great. I hope to build a small appliance (SBC maybe) to have a plug’n play network monitor

Using Pi3 for a Network Monitoring System is a bad idea… but thats just my two cents.
