APC Management Card Temp Sensor Showing Incorrectly

I have two APC units both with the UPS Network Management Card 2 (AP3961).

Both units report the battery temperature correctly in Celsius, but both show the external temperature probe in Fahrenheit. The Fahrenheit temperature is correct yet it shows it as Celsius.

Hope I am explaining that correctly. This is on two new installs, one at work, one at home running the latest version.

thanks,

John

You need to change in the web ui of the APC unit itself to Celsius. As librenms only works with Celsius.

That did the trick, thank you!!

I tried searching for this, but didn’t see anything.

No worries.

I just wanted to add that on one of my machines, even though my user was set to display in Celsius (and it did on the APC unit itself), it was still actually sending it via snmp as Fahrenheit. I noticed this as I exported my config file from the APC (Configuration → General → User Config File → Export) and opened it up and found this section in the middle of it.

Changing it to Celsius and saving and then re-importing the file fixed it for me.
