AUTO http, AUTO smtp for a lot of hosts not running these services

With 26.3.0 I experience wrong automatically added service checks for hosts that are not running these services. In particular the checks “AUTO http” and “AUTO smtp” are affected for me.

  • How does the discovery check/decide if there is such a service running?
  • And can I permanently remove these wrong checks or will they re-appear again after a while?

There was a bug at the weekend which discovered services running on loopback, that was fixed before 26.3.0 so if you are on the monthly release then you’ve not hit that bug. If you are on the daily, then update and delete the services discovered.

If these are not loopback services then your device is reporting that you have services running on those ports so LibreNMS is picking them because you’ve configured auto service discovery. Either fix your device or disable auto service discovery as per the docs

thanks for your reply. Can you tell me were in detail I can disable the auto discovery of services? I did not find it in the global config.
