When you are creating new alerts, you sometimes want similar alert that is already created. So it would be very helpful to just being able to clone x alert that is already created then being able to edit it.
That exists. Alerts → Alert Rule → Create new alert rule → Import from → Alert rule
Just not very obvious, would be good to have button at top with the ‘Create alert’ would be ‘Clone alert’
Contributions are always welcome
not everyone are programmers, I’m just a user giving feedback.
And that’s fine, I’m just pointing out that contributions are welcome and sometimes are how things get added quickly.
In my experience It’s easy enough to use the ‘Import From’ button so you can have the editor filled out from an import. I’ve only needed to use cloning a few times in my years using LibreNMS and your request is only saving 1 or 2 clicks per rule.
yeah it is very easy to do it when you know where it is. Just little bit hidden. I have used it now often it’s ok to close this unless you want to make it a bit more clear when creating new alert, that you are able to ‘clone’ existing alert.
It would be great to have a clone alert feature to duplicate an existing alert for quick editing and reuse.
