Bug? device sorting by name/ip

Hello,
I added all my devices to LibreNMS by IP address. The name was then pulled from SNMP. I found the setting in Global Settings > WebUI > Device Settings > Default Device Display name Template to show the sysName as the primary name instead of the IP address.

However, when this is set and I try to sort the Device view by DEVICE column, it still sorts them by IP address and not alphabetically by the Display name. This is very counter-intuitive and frankly not very useful. Is this a bug or expected behavior?
