Bug when adding 127.0.0.1?

Hello there. I want to monitor the same linux server where I’ve mounted LibreNMS. I’ve installed SNMP and can poll the Linux machine locally. I have restricted SNMPd to run only at 127.0.0.1

When I try to add the local server as a new device, it complains about another device which I already have on the network with the IP 10.200.207.1, which is installed in a different location and it’s already been monitored by LibreNMS

Is this a bug?

No, The default is to prevent duplicate IPs to be added. 127.0.0.1 is associated with that device and probably others.

There is a check box to ignore this on the add device page. I highly suggest you check it

yeah I understand the duplicates prevention mechanism, but nowhere in the options of the 10.200.207.1 device is something associated with the 127.0.0.1 IP or whatever:

Pretty much every device has 127.0.0.1 on it’s local loopback interface.
IPs are reported by SNMP to LibreNMS. So, yes, it is there.
