Can not add new devices

Hi guys, back to work today
I’ve read what you said last week, checked the snmpd.conf, and still no luck adding devices

I cang ping the host from the VM, but the error persists :frowning:

This is what i get when run snmpwalk -v2c -cpublic 10.0.0.160 (HP Switch)

and this is de snmpd.conf

In the CLI test that worked, you used “public” as the community. Do you use the same for librenms ? The idea is to test in the CLI exactly the same IP and community than in LibreNMS. If it works on CLI, it also works in LibreNMS. As simple as that.

My bad, I’m now using the correct comunity name, but still nothing
Ping resolves just fine, but it throws time out

Then it is not the right community  if it works with public and not with your community, then you misconfigured your community on the device, and kept the public. So use public in LibreNMS (to confirm that all works) and then fix the config of the device to use your community and update the community in LibreNMS as well.

Yeah, that worked just fine and allowed my to add the device properly.
What i do not get, is why in the snmpd.conf I set a different name, but it only works with public

did you reload your snmp daemon ? Add some debug to the daemon and you’ll find out.
