CISCO 2960 not showing any info - generic

Hi,

We’ve recently impletmented a new install of LibreNMS and it’s working brilliantly, however it seems that whenever I add a CISCO 2960 (either via SNMP1/2 or 3 it makes no difference). The device is seen as ‘generic’ and no additional data is added i.e. ports / status, CPU usage etc etc.

Is there something missing from our install which is stopping this device from being detected properly?

Hi,

We monitor some 2960 devices with no problem.
Maybe you have defined some snmpview that limit what data can be polled for the libre host community/user?

I wiped all of the SNMP config on the switch to check just for this sort of thing, however there are no custom snmpviews defined on the switch config.

it’s quite odd.
