Today we only look at the alert state(Open or not), would be nice if we also have the alert_rule severity in mind.
By doing this we can color warnings properly.

How would you see this working exactly?
Just adding one more colour (like orange?) for Warning would be what you were thinking?

we widely use slack transport for Alerting from SolarWinds NMS, there it is implemented
I’m sure this is covered elsewhere but whats the best way to colorize slack alerts, right now everything shows up red. I’d like to have Severity: OK = Green OR an acknowledged alert. Warning: Orange and Critical: Red. I assume something related to slack.php needs to be modified.
