I’m trying to set up a user account that is read-only but can acknowledge alerts. With the normal user I can only set permissions for devices and interfaces.
Is there a way to create such a custom user?

This is not currently possible, but LibreNMS is community based, so feel free to develop it and submit a pull request in GitHub. The community will help you find the best way to code it.
