Devices ports reappear after discovery

Hi
I am having an issue that ports that are disabled and ignored in the gui, reappear after discovery. I check before and after and the database ports table is updated. After discovery, these are again enabled.

Any info to guide me to the right place to resolve this would be appreciated.

What Port Association Mode do you use?

maybe ifName is the right for you.

I am using ifIndex. On further investigation it seems it is only happening on switches (mainly cisco)

Worked perfectly. Turns out it was only the Cisco devices having this issue. I changed all cisco devices to ifName and all is well. Did bulk changes using a sql update on the database as it would have been hundreds of mouse clicks!!!. I appreciate the help, thank you
