Distributed Polling, all polling all devices

I set up distributed polling on my primary LibreNMS server and an additional poller. They are both set up in distributed_poller_group 0. There are 102 devices in the system at this time. Each poller is showing 102 devices polled. Shouldn’t this be roughly split between the two pollers so each has 1/2 of the devices ???

Hi papatango71,

You can either assign pollers into groups and set a poller group against certain devices, this will mean that those devices will only be processed by certain pollers (default poller group is 0) or you can assign all pollers to the default poller group for them to process any and all devices.

Hey Kevin,

Thank you for getting back to me… What I am trying to get clarification on is if both pollers are in group 0, are each of the pollers polling all 102 devices simultaneously…?? Or are the devices shared between the pollers…?? I have not been able to find any info on this.

Thank you.

Sorted, no memcached bindings for python installed.
