Email Alerts

Hello,

I haven’t changed anything, and now email alerts have stopped working. The only changes are the nightly upgrades, and this was working 2-3 weeks ago.

If I go to Settings > Global Settings > Alerting Settings > Email transport > Test transport, I get the following message:

Test to mail failed
**Invalid address: (addAnAddress to): 0**

I tried adding a new alert transport in Alerts > Alert Transports, but I get the same message. sysContact is set on the devices.

Do you have, by chance, set up default contact?


If you have both to yes AND no email in Default contact, thats probably your issue.

That fixed it! I don’t know what’s changed, but for some reason it requires a default contact. Luckily the default contact matches the sysContact on the devices, so this isn’t a problem.
