Faster Polling than 5min

If I want faster polling than 5 minutes so my alerts get triggered quicker, to lets say 3min polling, how can I do this. Do I have to install and use whatever this RRD thing is? Or is there another way?

Ive done some searching, but can’t find anything concrete beyond the RRD thing in the docs. Not sure what a hassle that will be or not. I was looking at this for reference: Fast Ping Checking - LibreNMS Docs
