I have some devices on cellular that I would not wish to poll every 5 minutes to gather stats. Depending upon manufacturer, some I would wish to poll once every 24 hours as I can get collected data. A feature I would like to request would be multiple poll scripts that run at different intervals, then for each device I could customize the poll rate.
We have discused this several times.
Yes, would be an awesome feature but really hard to implement right now.
To elaborate. Right now our main time series storage is RRD and RRD has a fixed polling frequency (it is one of the ways it is so efficient with storage)
