I’m try to add a new os but I can’t find the device id for the device I want to add. Where can I locate the device id?

You are looking for sysObjectID, not device id

Is that the same as the Object ID?

you need the SNMP sysObjectID to ID the the device.

because objectID by itself can be anything.

An OID in SNMP is an “Object Identifier”. It’s an address used to identify devices and their statuses. Want to know the temperature reading coming from a sensor at your mountaintop remote facility? There’s an OID for that.
