Fortinet Sensor :: Session count :: Count

Hello

I have a small mob of Fortinet firewalls. They all have this Sensor :: Session count :: Count graph, and all of them cheerfully tell me on the regular:

Count Sessions/sec 1m avg above threshold: [some number] (> [some smaller number] )

…where [some number] and [some smaller number] vary, roughly in proportion to how busy the firewall is.

What is this trying to tell me? Is it tunable? How do I turn it off if I don’t care?

I’m not sure how to disable it but you can adjust the thresholds if you edit the device and go to the health section.

Basically, like all sensor values without min/max fetched from snmp, it will get somewhat autolearned thresholds.
