Guidance on writing application

I’m looking at writing an application.

Please can you point me in the right direct. I have very little PHP knowledge (and little need to have any, other than for Librenms).

I’ve a nagios compatible script in SNMP extend, that will be the basis.

I’ve not found any documentation on this, think the advice is to look at existing. Which examples would be best to look at?

Btw if there is an snmpd.conf extend line, regardless of anything does librenms see that?

E.g will librenms see this with no additional code (no service, no app) - that is to say will it be in the DB?

extend example /use/bin/local/example.sh
