Has it got a proxy/agent for other networks

hi all,

looks a really good project, my decider is has it got a proxy/agent when my hosts are behind a firewall, different vlan

so my main librenms server is on one network but it talks to the proxy/agent with in tail talks to all the other snmp hosts to grab all the snmp devices

whats better you say for networks behind a firewall proxy or dist poller?

i know i need to allow that proxy/dist poller a firewall rule to the main librenms server

A distributed poller will make things a lot easier if you have a lot of devices. If it’s just 10, I’d do SNMP Proxy

I know for Snmp proxy you just install snmpd and link it to your librenms server snmpd server

But what about installing distributed poller, do I need to install another librenms server?

and for a snmp proxy to the snmp sever on my librenms server I spose I just need to install a snmp server on another server and point it back to my snmp server on my librenms server?

You need to install snmp proxy on the device that you would in essence add to LibreNMS, it has to be reachable from LIbreNMS
