How LibreNMS Proxy works?

Hello ,

I was asked to install to install SNMP proxy to have some information about some routers but in in indirect way using SNMP Proxy

Can anyone tell me how this is works on Librenms I mean a simple explanation how I can use it with Librenms if I have a Cisco router for example ?
