I am new to this. I downloaded the ova file for virtualbox and created the VM. I was able to log in to librenms and change the password.

I assume that the next step is to start up the web interface in order to configure the monitoring settings. I’ve tried using xdg-open, but it does not appear to be installed. When I tried installing it, the system could not locate the repository.

Does anyone have detailed instructions on what to do next?

Yes, go to the IP of the VM in a web browser.

I cannot get the web browser to start. I get a "no display environment variable specified. I am using firefox.

The only thing that I have been able to find is to set the variable as DISPLAY-:0, but when I do I get “Cannot open Display: :0”
