I have an issue with some interfaces, when an interface is going down it is not going in the alert mode. The state of the interface is like in Acknowledge state or Maintenance.
Do you know why I have this issue?
I’m not sure what you mean, you can see that we’ve recorded the ifOperStatus is now down.
I created an alert rule for port status up/down and it is looking like this.
When the state of a port is going to down and I have the black color in timestamp, the alert created by my doesn’t know about this port.
It’s looking like it know that port is in ack state, but it is going in this state by itself.
The event log won’t highlight an alert is triggered, it has no understanding of them.
Alerts also can’t ack themselves so someone must be doing it. If you look in the Alerts → Notifications section, that will show you the state of any active alerts.
