Hello,
I have been using an OpenNMS + Observium installation to watch our small company (and customers – perhaps 45 hosts) over the last year, and recently discovered LibreNMS. There are a few things that I like Observium performing, however, there are some things I don’t like about the software, and I am considering a permanent migration here.
Here is my Validate process:
[root@librenms librenms]# ./validate.php
Component | Version |
---|---|
LibreNMS | 1.64.1-15-g4b766b4f1 |
DB Schema | 2020_04_06_001048_the_great_index_rename (165) |
PHP | 7.4.6 |
Python | 3.6.8 |
MySQL | 10.3.17-MariaDB |
RRDTool | 1.7.0 |
SNMP | NET-SNMP 5.8 |
==================================== |
[OK] Composer Version: 1.10.7
[OK] Dependencies up-to-date.
[OK] Database connection successful
[OK] Database schema correct
- Observium detects my HP server power supplies just fine.
… LibreNMS doesn’t detect the power supply exists. Do I need to add MIB information somewhere? I did not need to do that with Observium.
- Is there a preferred way under RedHat / CentOS linux to get my system locations to show up properly? I have edited /etc/snnp/snmpd.conf numerous times in for syslocation, and restarted the service, and I just cannot win with the settings.
Thanks,
Christian
