I have monitored multiple Mikrotik devices in Librenms some of them not showing all ports in the Librenms ports section. How to resolve this please help.
Would be helpful to know what version of RouterOS, and specifically what devices, and if there is any similarity between the ports that aren’t discovered.
I have noticed that on ROS7, on newer hardware with SFP+ & SFP28 slots (e.g. CRS518, CCR2216), if the slot does not have a module installed, it does not get populated as a “port” in LibreNMS. I suspect this is some sort of change in how SNMP is reporting in ROS7, rather than anything “wrong” with LibreNMS.
Specific device-Mikrotik 2004 with Latest fw routeros v7
Yeah, that wasn’t very specific. There are two versions of the CCR2004. And you didn’t mention what ports you are “missing.”
If they are SFP ports and they are empty, it seems like RouterOS7 changed how those ports are reported in SNMP. If you don’t like this behavior you might need to complain to Mikrotik.
My Mikrotik Version is CCR2004. And the missing port is the SFP port and that is Connected not empty. that Port is using regularly.
