Following https://docs.librenms.org/Installation/Installation-Ubuntu-1804-Apache/ steps, never did it mention I needed to install and configure rrdcached.
I installed and configured it and now things look much better.

RRDCached is not a requirement, LibreNMS can work without it. But yes, I think we should put an optional install for rrdcached in the main docs.
If you want, you can propose the change editing yourself the documentation.
In the upper right corner there is a pencil icon for that.
Not an expert by any stretch but I agree. I built on Debian with nginx and I did not install with rrdcached, I added it after the fact, but it ran fine without.
