No errors from ./validate but GUI says problems with backend

I don’t have any errors when I run ./validate:

====================================
Component | Version
--------- | -------
LibreNMS  | 1.41-54-g2d4d4ce43
DB Schema | 255
PHP       | 7.0.30-0+deb9u1
MySQL     | 10.1.26-MariaDB-0+deb9u1
RRDTool   | 1.6.0
SNMP      | NET-SNMP 5.7.3
====================================

[OK]    Composer Version: 1.6.5
[OK]    Dependencies up-to-date.
[OK]    Database connection successful
[OK]    Database schema correct

But my GUI when I login to librenms says that I have problems with my backend and won’t display any of the machines I added to it. (there were no errors when I added the hosts)

EDIT: I can see the machines I add it’s just on the dashboard it says “Problems with backend” so I cannot get any widgets.
EDIT2: I don’t seem to have any widgets to add. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where the dashboard widget config files are stored?

Have you tried any of the fixes posted in other threads for this problem?

  • Re-authenticate with the GUI
  • Check MySQL status, and mysql logs
  • Check your config file for this line --> $config[‘secure_cookies’] = true;
    comment it out and see if that works for you.

Thanks. Looked at the logs and found it couldn’t read the config.php file.
