Number of workers per poller

I have a single poller running with RRDCached enabled on the host. Is there a limit to the number of workers per poller? (see attached picture)
As I am adding devices, the consumed worker seconds keeps exceeding the maximum worker seconds.

Increasing the worker count may eventually affect performance, you will only know by trying it. Check the docs we have on performance and optimise other things
